The Ale House May be Good for Whatever Ails You

All of you Ohio natives out there, if you havent been to Ale house 1890 in Lancaster Ohio you are definitely missing out. They have wonderful hamburgers and so many to menu items to choose from! All of these burgers are specially made with their own selection of fresh ingredients. They definitely know their way around a burger! They also have new specials  pretty frequently such as fried macoroni! (See review for fried Macoroni below!) so go in and don't miss them! Ale House 1890 Our first pick from the menu was the Barnyard Burger.  Barnyard Burger This burger was an absolute taste masterpiece! The first bite I took I could immediately taste the sweetness of marmalade and the grilled taste of the patty which collided with each other creating a  wonderful taste combination. The garlic aoli was a nice touch to the burger as well, better than mayonnaise if you ask me! Also the micro greens was a great bonus to an already delcious sandwich. And what is better on a b

The not so "Wild" Wild Ginger

Wild Ginger Asian Bistro, wasn't such a wild place. We stumbled across it by searching for new restaurants in our area. We decided we would give this place a try because I'm an Asian cuisine fanatic. Wild Ginger Lancaster OH When we arrived we noticed on the restaurant sign something a little strange.  The sign read: Wild Ginger Asian Bistro  Ft Chinese, Japanese and Thai cuisine  Then below that it says  Wukong Express We kind of brushed it off and went on inside. We decided we would go ahead and order, Seth had the California roll that came with your choice of soup or salad. He went with the soup, and decided on hot and sour. I went with something a little off beat for me, and took a gamble. I decided on the Wild ginger glazed chicken served with rice. We also decided to order a side of spring rolls, we were pretty excited to try everything because we seen so many beautiful pictures posted on their site. First, Seth was brough

Top-Notch Breakfast Spot in St Louis

Our next stop, Rooster ! Much like a lot of restaurants in Saint Louis, this one was bustling with people. We arrived around 9 a.m for breakfast. It was very busy, get here early if you don't want to wait for a table. We were seated after a 15 minute wait in their very small entrance room. We noticed they too had fresh flowers on every table. Also just as a note there were only tables, no booths. The menu was simple enough. Seth decided he would try their take on the BLT called a B.E.L.T. and I decided I wanted something simple also so I went with a breakfast skillet. The wait time was surprisingly fast for how busy they were. I assume they are probably used to being busy with how well they handled everyone. Seth's B.E.L.T, "I got my eggs sunny side up, and I got them exactly the way I asked, the bread was decent. The spicy mayo was a great touch to a rather mild breakfast sandwich, so they had a perfect point adding the spicy mayo. They

Did someone say Root Beer Float?

Have you ever had a root beer float the size of a traffic light? (Not literally but pretty dang close.) We have.... Fitz's 6605 Delmar Blvd, Saint Louis, MO 63130 Our next stop was Fitz's Root Beer. It's a soda shop located on the Delmar Loop in St. Louis. If you've never visited the loop there is a cool selection of stores, restaurants and shops in the area. If you're looking for entertainment and in the area this is a great place to find it.  We discovered Fitz by browsing through tons of itineraries and trip ideas for the St Louis area on Pinterest.  I was amazed by the giant floats I had seen so many pictures of, so I couldn't resist the urge to track this place down and try one for myself!  Upon entering there was a line at the door, but we were fortunately given the option to sit at the bar at absolutely no wait! The hostess told us to go right on upstairs, and we found the bar easily. When we sat down the bar tender placed menus

Brunch @ Milk Tooth

On our long, 8 hour, never ending journey to Missouri a few weeks ago we decided to stop midway in Indianapolis and grab brunch. Our restaurant of choice was Milktooth. Located right outside of the big inner city.  Milktooth 534 Virginia Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46203   Upon first glance, you see its a modern Indy style restaurant. With cute seating outside on their small patio, and string lights strung generously, it came together nicely. It was already getting warm outside so we decided to be seated inside.  The inside was comfortable. As for seating, there was an option to sit at the "milk bar", or you could also sit at tables, but booths were unfortunately not an option.  The menu was small, which is usually a good sign. Restaurants can become overwhelmed if the menu is too big for them to handle.  Usually when we're tossed the menu we scan through quickly and find exactly what we were looking for, but we were unsure of what we wa

Louisville is the Place to Be!

On our way home from St Louis this past week we ventured our way through Louisville, KY. If you've ever been through Louisville or stopped through you may have noticed this little city has nothing but big flavors. This isn't the first place we have been fortunate enough to try out and it definitely will not be the last.  Mojito Tapas Restaurant 2231 Holiday Manor Ctr, Louisville, KY 40222 You may wonder what made us chose this place from all of the other wonderful options, well to be honest, it was just luck of the draw. We were headed to Wild Eggs, but ended up running behind schedule and they close at 3 pm. So as pictured you see Mojito Tapas, beautiful modern exterior.  Upon venturing inside, the restaurant was laid back and relaxing. There were not very many dining so we didn't have to wait, and were seated right away by our kind server. They also have spacious booths and tables, along with delightful Spanish paintings.  Since it was National Margarit
