All of you Ohio natives out there, if you havent been to Ale house 1890 in Lancaster Ohio you are definitely missing out. They have wonderful hamburgers and so many to menu items to choose from! All of these burgers are specially made with their own selection of fresh ingredients. They definitely know their way around a burger! They also have new specials pretty frequently such as fried macoroni! (See review for fried Macoroni below!) so go in and don't miss them!
Ale House 1890
Barnyard Burger
This burger was an absolute taste masterpiece! The first bite I took I could immediately taste the sweetness of marmalade and the grilled taste of the patty which collided with each other creating a wonderful taste combination. The garlic aoli was a nice touch to the burger as well, better than mayonnaise if you ask me! Also the micro greens was a great bonus to an already delcious sandwich. And what is better on a burger than a delicious over easy egg? Nothing that's what.
Fried Macoroni and Cheese
Just the presentation and appearance of this dish blew us away. It was unlike any fried Macoroni cheese I've ever had. Crispy outer shell, not too over cooked. Seasoned beautifully. The bacon was delicious, and not just because it was bacon, but because it was cooked well. Covered with what seemed to be a house made Alfredo sauce, the sauce definitely topped it off. So much flavor in such a small dish.
French Onion soup
The soup had a very rich and strong flavor. The cheese was nice and melted on top of the soup. If you aren't a big onion fan this isn't the soup for you. I love onions and it was almost too intense for me. Not a bad soup, I just don't know if I'm the right person for it.
All in all, this restaurant definitely deserves recognition on our blog. They definitely know what tastes good on a burger and they know how to really think outside of the box at the same time. We would definitely go back to this restaurant!
Our first pick from the menu was the Barnyard Burger.

Our second pick was the fried macaroni, cause who could pass that up? Am I right?

Then lastly we tried the French Onion soup.

The best black and bleu burgers anywhere, especially washed down with a Vanilla Porter!
ReplyDeleteSounds good to us!!
DeleteSuper sad to see such a "wonderful burger" served with frozen fries. That would ruin the dish for me.
