"And in the Mornin' I'm eatin' Waffles" : Jack Flaps

If you're in Cleveland Ohio, you will find Jack Flaps. A place that just may have you doing back flaps.. I mean back flips... Jack Flaps is a hip breakfast and brunch spot right outside of downtown.  The inside of this restaurant is modern, and they have a few cool photographs strewn across the walls of what appears to may be the owners. The photo's seem to bring the place life. We really enjoyed them! After arriving we found the place to be full of people, and a bunch of people were waiting outside. We were told there would be a wait. So, we waited. There wasn't much space for waiting and definitely not any seating. If I were to make any suggestions for the restaurant it would be to make some more room! Not always possible though. While waiting we scoured over the brief menu. They have quite a few interesting plates. Seth had a hard time picking between the Benedicto Mexicano and the shrimp and grits. Finally, he decided he would try the Mexican i

Cajun Eats in Short North Columbus - De Levee

If anyone in Ohio is looking for food with a Cajun twist then we may have found the place for you! Located in Columbus's Short North is Da Levee .  This restaurant has a variety of Cajun dishes such as gumbo, Jambalaya, and chicken creole. They also have some other delicious choices as well. The interior was decorated with beads, and cool candles scattered on the tables, the restaurant had a very festive vibe. It definitely had a New Orleans type of look to it. We couldn't decide on which dish to order so we went with the Mt. Po Boy. If you come to Da Levee looking for a sandwich you cant go wrong with this one, mainly for the fact that it is loaded with a variety of different delicious meats. Cajun food is typically spicy and that's exactly what the Mt. Po Boy sandwich was. And I left out the fact that it was freakin' delicious. This flavor packed sandwich was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a while. Every bit of meat in t

This Pizza is Fire

On our Tasty Journey in Cleveland, Ohio, we discovered some wonderful eating spots on the famous street of Euclid. Pizza Fire being one of them! As soon as we passed by this pizza joint in the car, the look of the fiery logo alone had us intrigued. And we must say that this pizza place has more than just a clever name. We went inside and noticed how new age and modern this restaurant was. But enough about the looks....Let's get to the PIZZA! This restaurant has a pick-your-own topping style to it which is never a bad thing for a pizza. There is also Pizza Fire's very own pre picked topping signature pizzas (which are still built right before your eyes.) which is what we went for. We chose the 'Cleveland Pizza' which is topped with sausage, red onion, sausage and mushrooms. The first thing that really stood out to us was the delicious crust the toppings were based upon. The crust alone was indeed impressive, this is how a pizza crust shou

Cherry St. Pub Grub! Lancaster, OH

Cherry Street Pub, a highlight of Lancaster Ohio. Upon arriving at Cherry street, you are greeted with a cute old-timey building. The outside matches the inside. We walked in to find some pretty cool seating. They had booths, a bar, or tables. There is also a cute in the wall booth that would be perfect for a couples night out. Our server met us quickly. She placed leather bound menus in front of us and we quickly scanned them and placed our order. Seth went for the Chicken and Waffles, and I the Blackened Chicken Macaroni. Butter Pecan Chicken and Waffles review: " I've never had this combination before, and what a great first time to have it! The Cherry St. Pub's Chicken and Waffles is amazing. The chicken tasted completely homemade along with everything else. The crispy chicken went well with the fluffy, yet very crispy Waffle. Everything tasted amazing individually, but even more amazing all together. The syrup seemed to be homemade and had

Noodlecat's Dream Buns

If you're strolling through downtown Cleveland we hope you stumble into Noodlecat . Located on Euclid Ave, you will be surrounded by a few different popular restaurants, don't be shy! Try them all! From our experience you can't go wrong. Noodlecat serves up three main options noodles, buns, and veggies. Unfortunately we did not come for noodles on this visit, we came for the Japanese Steam Buns! We picked 2 of the 5 bun options they had available and went with the J-fried Chicken bun and the Fresh bacon bun. These Buns are Japanese white bread sandwiches each topped with lettuce and pickle. For the J-fried Chicken Bun, this soft steam bun has a piece of fried chicken, sweet and spicy power ketchup. At first bite you're in love. The fresh steam buns are amazing. The chicken was crispy, tangy, and delicious but it was no match for the next bun that we tried! The Fresh Bacon Bun was filled with a delicious slice of lightly smoked, sugar

10 Jeni's Flavors you Don't Wanna Miss

A take on ten flavors of Jenis, no it did not take us long to make this list.. case in point, Jenis ice cream is fabulous. 10 mouth watering flavors: (Buttery Popcorn to the left, and Caramel Almond to the right) Buttery Popcorn In lamest terms, the best. Seriously. I loved this flavor. I'm not going to say I'm a huge popcorn person, but this definitely put a smile on my face. The ice cream was smooth, yet tasted exactly like kettle corn. Caramel Almond I loved the pieces of almond in this flavor. The ice cream itself was okay, really really sweet which is always good. Ultramarine Blue Buttermilk Extremely tangy and extremely fruity this flavor of Jenis will not disappoint your taste buds. In fact it's like an explosion of blue, or purple, because it was purple ice cream! Vanilla Bean Just as you expect, this flavor is the perfect pairing when you cannot decide from all of the other wonderful flavors, or to tame down another flavor, it was the
