Amorino has the Gelato

Oh gelato, you make me smile,
especially in the form of a beautiful rose.

Yes, you read that correctly, gelato in the shape of a rose.

You can find this so called rose shaped gelato at Amarino in Chicago.

After hearing about this place, I HAD to add it to our itinerary while we were back in the Windy City. Amarino is downtown, and we didn’t have that much trouble finding parking. We went later in the afternoon; I would say around 5 p.m. and found Amarino to be especially empty.

When you enter the double sliding doors (cool touch) you will be right in front of their gelato selections. They have a wide selection. We came for the rose, but you are able to get a simple bowl instead as well.

When finally deciding what flavors we wanted we ended up with Pistachio, cookie butter, and chocolate. The flavors went very well together.

We watched in awe as the server sculpted a beautiful rose master piece in front of us.

It turned out so pretty!

Not only did it look pretty, the flavors were very good. My personal favorite from our selections was the cookie butter. Just thinking about it makes me hungry. The gelato came in a waffle cone, and was plenty big enough for us both to share. We each grabbed a cute, small, ice cream tasting spoon from the counter and dug right in. They offer different sized roses just like they do regular cones. We went with the medium size and it was the perfect amount for us.

Amarino also offers macaroons! What could be better?

We picked out two pistachio- one each. And they did not disappoint.

All in all, Amarino is amazing! It's definitely worth a stop!

Be on the lookout for another blog coming very soon!
Tasty~

Bourbon, burgers, and Bar Louie!

This restaurant may sound familiar to some. We've eaten here before and have never been disappointed with the food or service. Stop into Bar Louie for some great food and and a great late night type of atmosphere, or maybe just after doing a little shopping in the mall.                   Bourbon Bacon Burger Just by looking at the special limited time menu of this burger and many other special sandwiches alike, we knew this burger would be incredibly flavorful. A beautifully cooked meat patty deserves nothing better than a beautifully crafted sauce and delcious toppings to back them up. A perfect meat patty topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, a delcious bourbon sauce and a nice stack of fried onion straws... It's making my mouth water just thinking about it... Unsurprisingly, the look of the burger was astonishing. The juicy patty had a decent portion of crispy onion straws that make the presentation really stick out. The first bite ...

Noodlecat's Dream Buns

If you're strolling through downtown Cleveland we hope you stumble into Noodlecat . Located on Euclid Ave, you will be surrounded by a few different popular restaurants, don't be shy! Try them all! From our experience you can't go wrong. Noodlecat serves up three main options noodles, buns, and veggies. Unfortunately we did not come for noodles on this visit, we came for the Japanese Steam Buns! We picked 2 of the 5 bun options they had available and went with the J-fried Chicken bun and the Fresh bacon bun. These Buns are Japanese white bread sandwiches each topped with lettuce and pickle. For the J-fried Chicken Bun, this soft steam bun has a piece of fried chicken, sweet and spicy power ketchup. At first bite you're in love. The fresh steam buns are amazing. The chicken was crispy, tangy, and delicious but it was no match for the next bun that we tried! The Fresh Bacon Bun was filled with a delicious slice of lightly smoked, sugar ...

All of you Ohio natives out there, if you havent been to Ale house 1890 in Lancaster Ohio you are definitely missing out. They have wonderful hamburgers and so many to menu items to choose from! All of these burgers are specially made with their own selection of fresh ingredients. They definitely know their way around a burger! They also have new specials  pretty frequently such as fried macoroni! (See review for fried Macoroni below!) so go in and don't miss them! Ale House 1890 Our first pick from the menu was the Barnyard Burger.  Barnyard Burger This burger was an absolute taste masterpiece! The first bite I took I could immediately taste the sweetness of marmalade and the grilled taste of the patty which collided with each other creating a  wonderful taste combination. The garlic aoli was a nice touch to the burger as well, better than mayonnaise if you ask me! Also the micro greens was a great bonus to an already delcious sandwich. And what is bet...
