Houlihans!

Tasty has made its way into Hershey PA, and we have landed at Houlihans ! Houlihans is a modern restaurant and I believe they are actually a smaller chain. When we made it into Hershey it was one of the first places we seen, right across from the Hershey Museum. First we ventured our way through the museum, and then did the taste tour where you make your own chocolate birds nest. After eating our weight in chocolate we walked across to have an early dinner. We arrived around 430 p.m. and the restaurant was not busy yet, to our surprise. We we’re greeted by friendly and helpful staff and also noticed it was time for their happy hour! On the happy hour menu you will find small discounted appetizers, and one of my favorites happened to be listed, chicken lettuce cups! The lettuce cups were very good, and brought out fast. I love it when you get an appetizer before your meal arrives. There’s not much of a point of getting an appetizer if your entree is already

Black Point- is on Point

It was a special day! Our anniversary as a couple! Seth surprised me by taking us out to dinner at the Black Point. The black point is an upscale steak house located in the Short North of Columbus. After talking about how much I wanted to go every time we were in the area, I was very excited. He set up reservations for us for 6 p.m. and we arrived early. We decided to wait for our table to be ready and sat at the bar for a few minutes before the hostess seated us. When brought to our table I noticed the restaurant had left us a small tea light surrounded by beautiful rose petals and a small card that said Happy Anniversary on it. How thoughtful! We then placed our orders, Seth and I both choosing one of their popular menu items, Surf and Turf Prix Fixe. The Surf and Turf included the following options, for the first course you pick between classic Caesar salad, kale and Brussels sprouts, the wedge salad, and lobster bisque. The entrée was an 8

SuperChef's has the Breakfast

Hello, fellow Tasty readers! We are going down town to Columbus Ohio's  Superchef's Breakfast & More As some of you may know, I am a huge pancake lover. If it's super unhealthy for you, it's probably right up my alley. So naturally I found myself here checking out their goodies. We went around 10 a.m. on a Saturday to this hip little restaurant and found parking on the street surprisingly quickly. We rushed in to be told we would have to wait for the next available table to open. (darn) We gave them our number, and we were told we would get a text when they were ready for us. The place was kind of small, and busy, so it was loud. We decided we would just wait in the car.  After waiting about twenty minutes our phone alerted us they were ready. We went in and the hostess sat us at our very small table, that was right next to another couple.  When we received the menus, I already knew what I was leaning towards, sense beforehand I spent time

Do-Rite Donuts

We will keep this one short and sweet! Do-Rite Donuts , found in Chicago We stumbled into Do-Rite in a hurry, as this was sadly our last day in Chicago. I sent Seth in and he grabbed us a couple and hurried back to our car. We we’re sad to be headed home, but the donuts definitely brought us a little bit of cheer! As for me, he got me the Pistachio. It had a good flavor, but since we did not get in until later in the day you could tell they were not as fresh as they probably usually are. The texture was my favorite part, they were both cake donuts, and oh so crumbly. Seth picked out a chocolate covered cake donut, and it was good as well.  We hope to go back some day in the future and try out more of their donuts earlier in the day! We would definitely not recommend swooping in last minute like we did, if you want to experience Do-Rite’s full potential, but if its just for a quick bite of happiness, Do-Rite should do the tri

Fatso's.. hopefully Not-so Last Stand

Fatso’s Last Stand is a "somewhat" fast food restaurant that can also be found on the outskirts of Chicago. When it comes to hot-dogs, Chicago is the place you want to be. For those who may not know, the traditional Chicago dog includes an all-beef frank placed on a poppy seed bun, with a lot of toppings such as, white onions, bright green sweet pickle relish, a dill pickle spear, tomato slices, pickled peppers, and lastly yellow mustard. Out of the many, many, places in Chicago you can find a great hot dog we wound up at Fatso’s. Not only does Fatso’s offer great hot-dogs, they have their own spin on hamburgers. The burger is famously named “The Fatso Burger” and we couldn’t leave without trying both. When ordering you’ll also notice that all of their hot-dogs are served Chicago style, but you can add or remove all the toppings that you would like. Fatso’s has a few different types of hot-dogs to pick from in terms of the meat and style

Melt, Columbus OH

Hello, hello! As some of you know we are from the Columbus Ohio area, so of course we will be bringing you many more thoughts and posts of new places we find intriguing around the area.  We present to you- MELT   This not so hidden gem had us wondering what all the fus was about.  So we went and found our for ourselves. THE MIGHTY MACARONI  With a name like "Mighty Macaroni" one can only hope that this sandwich is in fact Mighty, and it is! When presented with the sandwich we were pleasantly satisfied in terms of size. (they do not skimp whatsoever)  The Mighty Mac is served with a giant helping of their homemade macaroni and cheese that has been battered and DEEP FRIED, layered with cheddar cheese sauce, and then you also get to pick your own favorite melted cheese if your cheesy heart desires (which who wouldn't?).  It also comes with a heaping side of fries.  All in all, I enjoyed the sandwich fairly well. It was

DONUT BAR

During our short, yet awesome trip to Vegas, we had to swing by Donut Bar. Donut bar was within walking distance of our hotel. We stayed at the Downtown Grand. The Grand was a really nice hotel stay. We enjoyed being so close to many things we had on our list, without having to be right on the strip. When arriving we were mesmerized. So many donuts, and they all looked equally beautiful. I’m still not sure how we ever decided on just two. I guess, maybe, because of the heat.  I opted with the Homer. How could you not. My donut was very good. I forgot to mention, these donuts are also pretty big. See above for size. The homer donut had pink frosting on top, just like you would imagine it would be in Springfield. The dough-part itself seemed to be very well made. It was so soft and delicious. Ugh, I'm starting to drool. Take me back to Vegas? Please? Seth went with the pop tart donut. This donut had a full size pop tart inside! Not only

Di Carlos Pizza- Thank You

Pizza, pizza, and more pizza. We always find a way to squeeze in a quick pizza stop into every one of our travels. This next pizza blog covers the delicious slices of Di Carlos Pizza! Located in the city of Wheeling, West Virginia, this small quick stop pizza joint puts a spin on it's own version of this Italian original. We were on our way home from a short trip dreading the return of work on the next day to come, so we thought.. what better way to end our amazing trip than a nice slice of Pizza? We had done a little research on this small pizza joint and learned that their pizza is completely original. They stuck strickley to the roots of the creator Primo Di Carlo who tried pizza in Italy while serving inthe U.S. Army. He returned to the United States with his Italian pizza knowledge which pushed him to open the first Di Carlos pizza in Steubenville, Ohio back in 1945! Some short time later, Primo partnered with his younger brother Galdo Di Carlo, who then
