Do-Rite Donuts

We will keep this one short and sweet!

Do-Rite Donuts, found in Chicago

We stumbled into Do-Rite in a hurry, as this was sadly our last day in Chicago.

I sent Seth in and he grabbed us a couple and hurried back to our car. We we’re sad to be headed home, but the donuts definitely brought us a little bit of cheer!

As for me, he got me the Pistachio.

It had a good flavor, but since we did not get in until later in the day you could tell they were not as fresh as they probably usually are. The texture was my favorite part, they were both cake donuts, and oh so crumbly.

Seth picked out a chocolate covered cake donut, and it was good as well.

We hope to go back some day in the future and try out more of their donuts earlier in the day! We would definitely not recommend swooping in last minute like we did, if you want to experience Do-Rite’s full potential, but if its just for a quick bite of happiness, Do-Rite should do the trick!

Till next time, Tatsty!

Roosters, it's an Ohio thing!

We are so proud to be from Ohio for so many reasons, and Roosters being one of them!  Roosters is a restaurant that only 'Ohioans' or Ohio visitors know about. It's not a five star fancy schmansy restaurant, just a tasty and fun place to eat at on a weekend or after a long days work. The famous slogan really speaks for itself "A fun, casual, joint", but it doesn't happen to mention the delicious food they have available!  We are regular Rooster customers, we usually go a couple of times a month. We usually stick with our favorites from the menu, but you really can't go wrong with anything they have to offer. Whether it's the loaded nachos, a burger, or their tender boneless wings dipped in your choice of TOP OF THE LINE wing sauce, you wont be disappointed. Most of the time we go with the boneless wings drenched in tangy sweet Thai chili sauce. The quality of the meat is unbeatable, but the big kicker for us is the sauce. The sweet...

The Ale House May be Good for Whatever Ails You

All of you Ohio natives out there, if you havent been to Ale house 1890 in Lancaster Ohio you are definitely missing out. They have wonderful hamburgers and so many to menu items to choose from! All of these burgers are specially made with their own selection of fresh ingredients. They definitely know their way around a burger! They also have new specials  pretty frequently such as fried macoroni! (See review for fried Macoroni below!) so go in and don't miss them! Ale House 1890 Our first pick from the menu was the Barnyard Burger.  Barnyard Burger This burger was an absolute taste masterpiece! The first bite I took I could immediately taste the sweetness of marmalade and the grilled taste of the patty which collided with each other creating a  wonderful taste combination. The garlic aoli was a nice touch to the burger as well, better than mayonnaise if you ask me! Also the micro greens was a great bonus to an already delcious sandwich. And what is bet...

Brunch @ Milk Tooth

On our long, 8 hour, never ending journey to Missouri a few weeks ago we decided to stop midway in Indianapolis and grab brunch. Our restaurant of choice was Milktooth. Located right outside of the big inner city.  Milktooth 534 Virginia Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46203   Upon first glance, you see its a modern Indy style restaurant. With cute seating outside on their small patio, and string lights strung generously, it came together nicely. It was already getting warm outside so we decided to be seated inside.  The inside was comfortable. As for seating, there was an option to sit at the "milk bar", or you could also sit at tables, but booths were unfortunately not an option.  The menu was small, which is usually a good sign. Restaurants can become overwhelmed if the menu is too big for them to handle.  Usually when we're tossed the menu we scan through quickly and find exactly what we were looking for, but we were unsure of ...
