SuperChef's has the Breakfast

Hello, fellow Tasty readers!

We are going down town to Columbus Ohio's
Superchef's Breakfast & More

As some of you may know, I am a huge pancake lover. If it's super unhealthy for you, it's probably right up my alley. So naturally I found myself here checking out their goodies. We went around 10 a.m. on a Saturday to this hip little restaurant and found parking on the street surprisingly quickly. We rushed in to be told we would have to wait for the next available table to open. (darn)

We gave them our number, and we were told we would get a text when they were ready for us. The place was kind of small, and busy, so it was loud. We decided we would just wait in the car.

After waiting about twenty minutes our phone alerted us they were ready. We went in and the hostess sat us at our very small table, that was right next to another couple.

When we received the menus, I already knew what I was leaning towards, sense beforehand I spent time looking at the restaurants pictures and reviews.

I went with the OG Pancake Platter of course.

The pancake platter includes four styles of their pancakes. Yes, four.

The four different pancakes that are included are as follows:

My personal favorite- Red Velvet

The Red Velvet pancakes are layered with a whipped cream cheese topping and sprinkled with powdered sugar. Not only did these have my heart due to how they tasted, I thought they were the prettiest. I also noticed a couple of other people in the restaurant had ordered an entire stack of these ones by themselves. (great choice)

Next in line- Baked Alaskan Banana Pudding Pancakes

The Baked Alaskan Banana pancakes were also really good. Personally, I am not a banana flavor anything kind of person, so I was not too thrilled about these ones. Even though I'm not a banana fan I did think that these were made very well. After eating a few bites I let Seth devour the rest of them, and he thought they were great.

Third was the sweetest of all- Reese's Cup Pancakes

The Reese's Cup are for those of you who admire sugar very fondly. These pancakes are very, very, sweet. I loved how they even included a half of a Reese cup on top of them! In between the two thick layers of pancakes they included peanut butter and Nutella, and underneath there was sauce to match!

Last in line- Blueberry Pancakes

The Blueberry Pancakes were layered with whipped lemon butter cream. I thought these pancakes were also okay. I think they could have had more Blueberry and less lemon, but if you like both flavors these could be your cup of tea!

Seth decided to go a little less sweet with his meal, and ordered the Juggernaut.

The Juggernaut

The Juggernaut included two red waffle sandwiches, fried chicken, candied bacon, eggs, american and pepper jack cheese, and was topped with honey and maple syrup. Okay, maybe his wasn't much less sugary than mine.

As for his sandwich, I had to try it as well. We both loved the chicken and thought the seasonings were done well. The waffles were sub-par. I loved how they were colored to be red, but the flavors were not as popping, not to say they weren't good though. The syrup and honey drizzled on top made a world of difference. we loved that they served it with a side of syrup as well. It was very good when you put it all together into one giant bite.

And of course, I can't go anywhere without getting a dose of potatoes.

I had to try out their hash browns. The hash browns were also very good. I loved how seasoned they were, and i also liked the little medley of peppers they placed on top in the center. Not only did the peppers give some extra flavor, but they also provided beautiful color~

All in all we enjoyed our time and breakfast at Superchef's! If we could make any recommendations, it would be to open up another shop or relocate due to having such a small place. We loved how the play on color and how extreme the Og platter was!

Thanks for reading, yours truly, Tasty!

Roosters, it's an Ohio thing!

We are so proud to be from Ohio for so many reasons, and Roosters being one of them!  Roosters is a restaurant that only 'Ohioans' or Ohio visitors know about. It's not a five star fancy schmansy restaurant, just a tasty and fun place to eat at on a weekend or after a long days work. The famous slogan really speaks for itself "A fun, casual, joint", but it doesn't happen to mention the delicious food they have available!  We are regular Rooster customers, we usually go a couple of times a month. We usually stick with our favorites from the menu, but you really can't go wrong with anything they have to offer. Whether it's the loaded nachos, a burger, or their tender boneless wings dipped in your choice of TOP OF THE LINE wing sauce, you wont be disappointed. Most of the time we go with the boneless wings drenched in tangy sweet Thai chili sauce. The quality of the meat is unbeatable, but the big kicker for us is the sauce. The sweet

Breakfast Time at Table 1

Being Ohio natives we were happy to find an independent restaurant near us. It had Great decor, and the restaurant itself had a visually fun and hip/modern look (no surprise here.. most small businesses take this role). The lighting was at a relaxing level, they placed numbers above the tables to try and give a unique look. Enough about the decor though, lets move on to the important Tids! First things first, drink options. They had a small variety of drinks offering the usual selections - Soda, Water, Tea, O-J, Milk. We decided on getting the Cola, because we had a long drive ahead - we were headed for Amish Country in Millersburg OH. (Blog soon to come..) Our server seemed to be lacking some energy that day as well, I mean it was Saturday. She brought our drinks and we were surprised to see more than a simple cup, Coca-cola served to you in a jar! Enough mumbo about the drinks though, onward to the main course. We both opted for The eggs Benedict. We were unsure o

The Ale House May be Good for Whatever Ails You

All of you Ohio natives out there, if you havent been to Ale house 1890 in Lancaster Ohio you are definitely missing out. They have wonderful hamburgers and so many to menu items to choose from! All of these burgers are specially made with their own selection of fresh ingredients. They definitely know their way around a burger! They also have new specials  pretty frequently such as fried macoroni! (See review for fried Macoroni below!) so go in and don't miss them! Ale House 1890 Our first pick from the menu was the Barnyard Burger.  Barnyard Burger This burger was an absolute taste masterpiece! The first bite I took I could immediately taste the sweetness of marmalade and the grilled taste of the patty which collided with each other creating a  wonderful taste combination. The garlic aoli was a nice touch to the burger as well, better than mayonnaise if you ask me! Also the micro greens was a great bonus to an already delcious sandwich. And what is better on a b
