Crazy Dogs Grill, Sure is a Thrill

Were headed into Chilicothe OH and checking out this cute, new, little shop called Crazy Dogs Grill.

We decided to give it a try, cause who doesn't think Hot dogs are perfect for a chill Saturday afternoon?

Upon entering you'll be greeted by very nice employees offering to help you find whatever your taste buds desire. They gave us a take home menu after hearing it was our first time here, and let us take our time looking over their menu.

Seth opted for the Jersey Dog, and I the Slaw Dog. We also couldn't just pass up hand cut fries, or homemade potato salad.

After waiting only a few moments we were presented with our fresh food.

Slaw Dog

The Slaw Dog is an all beef hot dog with southern style slaw, spicy mustard, and a side of delicious homemade sweet butter pickle chips.

Upon first glance you'll notice they are not light on the toppings. Drenched in slaw, this hot dog is delicious. The pickles that were served with it give it a different kind of twist. I loved them. You cannot find them anywhere else, so sweet yet tangy. The all beef frank was also delightful.

Jersey Dog

The Jersey dog is an Italian sausage, toasted with sauteed peppers and onions, topped with pizza sauce and lots of mozzarella cheese. Sausage and hotdogs are both equally delicious, The fact that this dish has pizza-like features made it so exciting. Everything seemed to fit perfectly together, with the taste of melted mozzarella and pizza sauce along with the taste of a grilled italian sausage was an awesome combination. if you're wanting something other than a hotdog at Crazy Dog grill, this is probably your best option!

Hand Cut Fries

The Crazy Dogs Grill has fresh hand cut french fries, and there is nothing better. They also offer vinegar as a condiment option, and you should definitely take advantage. For only two dollars you get this big boat of mouth watery goodness.

Homemade Potato Salad

As for the potato salad, we were not blown away nor disappointed. We were told it was just made when we were served, so the dish had not yet been chilled. Since it wasn't chilled the taste wasn't exactly what we were hoping for.

While we were chowing down these dogs the employees were sure to make sure everything was good. Very friendly and caring staff. We could see this place sticking around for quite a while, and hope to see them succeed!

Until next time,

Roosters, it's an Ohio thing!

We are so proud to be from Ohio for so many reasons, and Roosters being one of them!  Roosters is a restaurant that only 'Ohioans' or Ohio visitors know about. It's not a five star fancy schmansy restaurant, just a tasty and fun place to eat at on a weekend or after a long days work. The famous slogan really speaks for itself "A fun, casual, joint", but it doesn't happen to mention the delicious food they have available!  We are regular Rooster customers, we usually go a couple of times a month. We usually stick with our favorites from the menu, but you really can't go wrong with anything they have to offer. Whether it's the loaded nachos, a burger, or their tender boneless wings dipped in your choice of TOP OF THE LINE wing sauce, you wont be disappointed. Most of the time we go with the boneless wings drenched in tangy sweet Thai chili sauce. The quality of the meat is unbeatable, but the big kicker for us is the sauce. The sweet

Breakfast Time at Table 1

Being Ohio natives we were happy to find an independent restaurant near us. It had Great decor, and the restaurant itself had a visually fun and hip/modern look (no surprise here.. most small businesses take this role). The lighting was at a relaxing level, they placed numbers above the tables to try and give a unique look. Enough about the decor though, lets move on to the important Tids! First things first, drink options. They had a small variety of drinks offering the usual selections - Soda, Water, Tea, O-J, Milk. We decided on getting the Cola, because we had a long drive ahead - we were headed for Amish Country in Millersburg OH. (Blog soon to come..) Our server seemed to be lacking some energy that day as well, I mean it was Saturday. She brought our drinks and we were surprised to see more than a simple cup, Coca-cola served to you in a jar! Enough mumbo about the drinks though, onward to the main course. We both opted for The eggs Benedict. We were unsure o

The Ale House May be Good for Whatever Ails You

All of you Ohio natives out there, if you havent been to Ale house 1890 in Lancaster Ohio you are definitely missing out. They have wonderful hamburgers and so many to menu items to choose from! All of these burgers are specially made with their own selection of fresh ingredients. They definitely know their way around a burger! They also have new specials  pretty frequently such as fried macoroni! (See review for fried Macoroni below!) so go in and don't miss them! Ale House 1890 Our first pick from the menu was the Barnyard Burger.  Barnyard Burger This burger was an absolute taste masterpiece! The first bite I took I could immediately taste the sweetness of marmalade and the grilled taste of the patty which collided with each other creating a  wonderful taste combination. The garlic aoli was a nice touch to the burger as well, better than mayonnaise if you ask me! Also the micro greens was a great bonus to an already delcious sandwich. And what is better on a b
