Howling Wolf Taqueria

Hello everyone! This blog is going to be a little different than others! Much, much, shorter but none-the less fun. Tasty is in the streets of downtown Salem!

We present to you Howling Wolf Taqueria!

If this isn't the truest sign, I don't know what is.

Upon reaching our destination we loved the cute modern decor outside.

We were here for chips and salsa, and drinks.

This place was perfect for that.

Howling wolf has a big selection of drink choices, which I loved and took advantage of,

Also the chips and salsa were great. We sat at the bar, and the bar tender was awesome. We were offered food menu's but they did not try to force us into ordering anything.

The first drink I ordered was the Howling Margarita, which is their most basic Marg on the menu. They offer other flavors you can add to make it even tastier. I decided to go with Blood Orange in mine. I thought it was cool they offered this flavor choice, usually menu's feature the normal strawberry / mango flavor options. Even though it was their most basic Margarita it was filled with flavor and made me a happy Salem explorer.

My second drink was the Russian wolf. I was impressed with the size of the cocktails as well. They were full glasses! This drink was also good. Not only does the Howling Wolf offer cocktails, they also have an extensive beer menu. Seth opted for a couple of non-fancy beers.

We enjoyed our time at Howling Wolf, and loved the laid back atmosphere. If we ever end up in Salem again we would definitely stop by and maybe try some food this time!

Until our next stop- Tasty!

Roosters, it's an Ohio thing!

We are so proud to be from Ohio for so many reasons, and Roosters being one of them!  Roosters is a restaurant that only 'Ohioans' or Ohio visitors know about. It's not a five star fancy schmansy restaurant, just a tasty and fun place to eat at on a weekend or after a long days work. The famous slogan really speaks for itself "A fun, casual, joint", but it doesn't happen to mention the delicious food they have available!  We are regular Rooster customers, we usually go a couple of times a month. We usually stick with our favorites from the menu, but you really can't go wrong with anything they have to offer. Whether it's the loaded nachos, a burger, or their tender boneless wings dipped in your choice of TOP OF THE LINE wing sauce, you wont be disappointed. Most of the time we go with the boneless wings drenched in tangy sweet Thai chili sauce. The quality of the meat is unbeatable, but the big kicker for us is the sauce. The sweet

Breakfast Time at Table 1

Being Ohio natives we were happy to find an independent restaurant near us. It had Great decor, and the restaurant itself had a visually fun and hip/modern look (no surprise here.. most small businesses take this role). The lighting was at a relaxing level, they placed numbers above the tables to try and give a unique look. Enough about the decor though, lets move on to the important Tids! First things first, drink options. They had a small variety of drinks offering the usual selections - Soda, Water, Tea, O-J, Milk. We decided on getting the Cola, because we had a long drive ahead - we were headed for Amish Country in Millersburg OH. (Blog soon to come..) Our server seemed to be lacking some energy that day as well, I mean it was Saturday. She brought our drinks and we were surprised to see more than a simple cup, Coca-cola served to you in a jar! Enough mumbo about the drinks though, onward to the main course. We both opted for The eggs Benedict. We were unsure o

The Ale House May be Good for Whatever Ails You

All of you Ohio natives out there, if you havent been to Ale house 1890 in Lancaster Ohio you are definitely missing out. They have wonderful hamburgers and so many to menu items to choose from! All of these burgers are specially made with their own selection of fresh ingredients. They definitely know their way around a burger! They also have new specials  pretty frequently such as fried macoroni! (See review for fried Macoroni below!) so go in and don't miss them! Ale House 1890 Our first pick from the menu was the Barnyard Burger.  Barnyard Burger This burger was an absolute taste masterpiece! The first bite I took I could immediately taste the sweetness of marmalade and the grilled taste of the patty which collided with each other creating a  wonderful taste combination. The garlic aoli was a nice touch to the burger as well, better than mayonnaise if you ask me! Also the micro greens was a great bonus to an already delcious sandwich. And what is better on a b
