Geno's Steaks

Philadelphia is one fun city to visit. We had always wanted to see the Rocky steps, but we mainly had our taste buds set on snatching a famous Philly cheese steak from the very well known Geno's Steaks.

We arrived in Philly at around 11pm and finally made it Geno's. The building and lights on the buildings of Philidelphia really come alive and night, and Genos is noticeably lit with spectacular colored lights. It was definitely a beautifully decorated building that you must see at night if you happen to go in the future.

It was not really a sit down restaurant, but more of walk up window serve kind of deal. There are tables available if you don't want to eat on the go which is what we did.

We ordered one cheese steak with cheese whiz and grilled onions and one with onions and provolone. The appearance was actually pretty appetizing. Simple but very tasty looking.

It was a decent tasting sandwich overall. Nothing completely out of this world, but not bad. The soft bread went well with the steak, and the cheese and onions really gave the steak the flavor complements it needed. If you decide to go try Geno's, we recommend getting all of the toppings that you may like to add a lot of other flavors to your sandwich, nobody likes a plain tasting sandwich.
The cheese whiz sandwich was probably the best of the two. The cheese Philly is supposedly the original Philly according to most.

Until next time, this has been another post from Tasy Tidbitt!

Bourbon, burgers, and Bar Louie!

This restaurant may sound familiar to some. We've eaten here before and have never been disappointed with the food or service. Stop into Bar Louie for some great food and and a great late night type of atmosphere, or maybe just after doing a little shopping in the mall.                   Bourbon Bacon Burger Just by looking at the special limited time menu of this burger and many other special sandwiches alike, we knew this burger would be incredibly flavorful. A beautifully cooked meat patty deserves nothing better than a beautifully crafted sauce and delcious toppings to back them up. A perfect meat patty topped with cheddar cheese, bacon, a delcious bourbon sauce and a nice stack of fried onion straws... It's making my mouth water just thinking about it... Unsurprisingly, the look of the burger was astonishing. The juicy patty had a decent portion of crispy onion straws that make the presentation really stick out. The first bite ...

Noodlecat's Dream Buns

If you're strolling through downtown Cleveland we hope you stumble into Noodlecat . Located on Euclid Ave, you will be surrounded by a few different popular restaurants, don't be shy! Try them all! From our experience you can't go wrong. Noodlecat serves up three main options noodles, buns, and veggies. Unfortunately we did not come for noodles on this visit, we came for the Japanese Steam Buns! We picked 2 of the 5 bun options they had available and went with the J-fried Chicken bun and the Fresh bacon bun. These Buns are Japanese white bread sandwiches each topped with lettuce and pickle. For the J-fried Chicken Bun, this soft steam bun has a piece of fried chicken, sweet and spicy power ketchup. At first bite you're in love. The fresh steam buns are amazing. The chicken was crispy, tangy, and delicious but it was no match for the next bun that we tried! The Fresh Bacon Bun was filled with a delicious slice of lightly smoked, sugar ...

Screendoor, What Mo' Could'ya Ask Fo'

On our Oregon vacation and exploration, we headed out to a specific well known location for breakfast. Screendoor Much like many old fashion restaurants, Screendoor in Portland Oregon is extremely popular. The vibe of the restaurant is very positive, and the decor and atmosphere is warm and makes you feel at home. The lighting of the restaurant is very soft on a beautiful autumn Portland morning, and nothing goes better with a crisp cool fall day than delicious breakfast. We browsed the simple menu, and selected our meals quickly. We had a big day ahead of us. Seth opted for their famous chicken and waffle dish, while I on the other hand went with the Texas Veggie Migas. (I can't ever pass up a good Mexican classic) Chicken and Waffles The presentation of the dish was impressive, the orange peal on top of the portions of breakfast goodness was a gorgeous touch. The chicken was absolutely homemade, hand breaded, and cooked to perfection.  The flavor of the ch...
