Geno's Steaks

Philadelphia is one fun city to visit. We had always wanted to see the Rocky steps, but we mainly had our taste buds set on snatching a famous Philly cheese steak from the very well known Geno's Steaks.

We arrived in Philly at around 11pm and finally made it Geno's. The building and lights on the buildings of Philidelphia really come alive and night, and Genos is noticeably lit with spectacular colored lights. It was definitely a beautifully decorated building that you must see at night if you happen to go in the future.

It was not really a sit down restaurant, but more of walk up window serve kind of deal. There are tables available if you don't want to eat on the go which is what we did.

We ordered one cheese steak with cheese whiz and grilled onions and one with onions and provolone. The appearance was actually pretty appetizing. Simple but very tasty looking.

It was a decent tasting sandwich overall. Nothing completely out of this world, but not bad. The soft bread went well with the steak, and the cheese and onions really gave the steak the flavor complements it needed. If you decide to go try Geno's, we recommend getting all of the toppings that you may like to add a lot of other flavors to your sandwich, nobody likes a plain tasting sandwich.
The cheese whiz sandwich was probably the best of the two. The cheese Philly is supposedly the original Philly according to most.

Until next time, this has been another post from Tasy Tidbitt!

Roosters, it's an Ohio thing!

We are so proud to be from Ohio for so many reasons, and Roosters being one of them!  Roosters is a restaurant that only 'Ohioans' or Ohio visitors know about. It's not a five star fancy schmansy restaurant, just a tasty and fun place to eat at on a weekend or after a long days work. The famous slogan really speaks for itself "A fun, casual, joint", but it doesn't happen to mention the delicious food they have available!  We are regular Rooster customers, we usually go a couple of times a month. We usually stick with our favorites from the menu, but you really can't go wrong with anything they have to offer. Whether it's the loaded nachos, a burger, or their tender boneless wings dipped in your choice of TOP OF THE LINE wing sauce, you wont be disappointed. Most of the time we go with the boneless wings drenched in tangy sweet Thai chili sauce. The quality of the meat is unbeatable, but the big kicker for us is the sauce. The sweet...

Amorino has the Gelato

Oh gelato, you make me smile, especially in the form of a beautiful rose. Yes, you read that correctly, gelato in the shape of a rose. You can find this so called rose shaped gelato at Amarino in Chicago. After hearing about this place, I HAD to add it to our itinerary while we were back in the Windy City. Amarino is downtown, and we didn’t have that much trouble finding parking. We went later in the afternoon; I would say around 5 p.m. and found Amarino to be especially empty. When you enter the double sliding doors (cool touch) you will be right in front of their gelato selections. They have a wide selection. We came for the rose, but you are able to get a simple bowl instead as well.  When finally deciding what flavors we wanted we ended up with Pistachio, cookie butter, and chocolate. The flavors went very well together. We watched in awe as the server sculpted a beautiful rose master piece in front of us. It turned out so ...

Picklesburgh!

Pittsburgh, PA is not only a fun city to visit, but they have one of most unique traditions of many, the Picklesburgh pickle festival!! We are huge fans of pickles, and we had a blast on previous travels to Pittsburgh, so this event was perfect for us! In this particular post we are going to be telling you about all of our delicious encounters of Picklesburgh. Picklesburgh has everything pickles! Name it and most likely they have it. Anything from pickle brine chicken, pickle soda, to even pickle moonshine, and pickle cupcakes. We were lucky enough to try a good handful of these pickled creations. When we first arrived in Pittsburgh we kept our eyes peeled for the giant pickle floating in the sky! It was surely there floating above all of the delicious pickle stands and happy festival goers. It had a very fun feel being there because of the fact that it is all located on the famous Roberto Clement Bridge. Our first goal when we arrived was getting a one of a kind selfie with t...
