Fireside Pizza

In our home state of Ohio, while driving to our vacation destination towards Kentucky, we were pleased to stop and enjoy a freshly baked pizza in Cincinnati.

Fireside Pizza is a small brick oven style pizza restaurant in the building of what used to be an actual firehouse. It's a really decorative and fun place to eat. They keep the big sliding doors open for a breath of fresh air while you enjoy your pie!

All of the pizzas are made with fresh dough in a beautiful brick oven, and topped with only the best toppings and sauces.

We both decided on the most popular item on the Fireside menu which is called the "Redlegger Pizza". This pizza is topped with fresh mozzarella, red sauce, red bell peppers, red onions, and pepperoni. It's fired up until the crust is perfectly blackened and bubbly!

It was such a great surprise tasting this pizza. The appearance of the pizza alone really reeled us in.

As you can imagine... it was so tasty... I mean really tasty. It was a simple combination of toppings that carried such a great flavor combination. The sweetness of the red peppers alone was a great addition, and no other cheese could have worked better on this pizza than the one and only FRESH MOZZARELLA.

The saltiness of the pepperoni was a great touch to go along with the sweet red bell peppers as well. Just to give it a nice finishing kick, the red onion also comes into play beautifully, but to have all of these flavors on fresh oven fired pizza dough?? WE CANNOT ARGUE WITH THAT!

We were blown away by the amount of flavor in the pizza all together, but the sauce really stuck out for us. The sauce was not too sweet, but still very mellow tasting without being over the top tangy.

Seth said he would almost go as far as requesting a deep dish pizza from Fireside if they would make it. If you decide to go to this pizza place, you have to try the Redlegger for your first visit!

If you enjoy brick oven pizza made with fresh dough and fresh ingredients, then this is the place for you! You will be pleasantly surprised! We hope you've enjoyed reading our most recent food adventure, from the one and only Tasty Tidbitt!

Roosters, it's an Ohio thing!

We are so proud to be from Ohio for so many reasons, and Roosters being one of them!  Roosters is a restaurant that only 'Ohioans' or Ohio visitors know about. It's not a five star fancy schmansy restaurant, just a tasty and fun place to eat at on a weekend or after a long days work. The famous slogan really speaks for itself "A fun, casual, joint", but it doesn't happen to mention the delicious food they have available!  We are regular Rooster customers, we usually go a couple of times a month. We usually stick with our favorites from the menu, but you really can't go wrong with anything they have to offer. Whether it's the loaded nachos, a burger, or their tender boneless wings dipped in your choice of TOP OF THE LINE wing sauce, you wont be disappointed. Most of the time we go with the boneless wings drenched in tangy sweet Thai chili sauce. The quality of the meat is unbeatable, but the big kicker for us is the sauce. The sweet...

The Ale House May be Good for Whatever Ails You

All of you Ohio natives out there, if you havent been to Ale house 1890 in Lancaster Ohio you are definitely missing out. They have wonderful hamburgers and so many to menu items to choose from! All of these burgers are specially made with their own selection of fresh ingredients. They definitely know their way around a burger! They also have new specials  pretty frequently such as fried macoroni! (See review for fried Macoroni below!) so go in and don't miss them! Ale House 1890 Our first pick from the menu was the Barnyard Burger.  Barnyard Burger This burger was an absolute taste masterpiece! The first bite I took I could immediately taste the sweetness of marmalade and the grilled taste of the patty which collided with each other creating a  wonderful taste combination. The garlic aoli was a nice touch to the burger as well, better than mayonnaise if you ask me! Also the micro greens was a great bonus to an already delcious sandwich. And what is bet...

Brunch @ Milk Tooth

On our long, 8 hour, never ending journey to Missouri a few weeks ago we decided to stop midway in Indianapolis and grab brunch. Our restaurant of choice was Milktooth. Located right outside of the big inner city.  Milktooth 534 Virginia Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46203   Upon first glance, you see its a modern Indy style restaurant. With cute seating outside on their small patio, and string lights strung generously, it came together nicely. It was already getting warm outside so we decided to be seated inside.  The inside was comfortable. As for seating, there was an option to sit at the "milk bar", or you could also sit at tables, but booths were unfortunately not an option.  The menu was small, which is usually a good sign. Restaurants can become overwhelmed if the menu is too big for them to handle.  Usually when we're tossed the menu we scan through quickly and find exactly what we were looking for, but we were unsure of ...
