Pumpkin for President!

Welcome, welcome, one and all, to the greatest season of all!

Pumpkin Season!

Tasty here bringing you some of the fabulous pumpkin finds we have had this year!

Pumpkin Ice Cap
Tim Hortons

Found at Tim Hortons, this ice cappuccino is definitely worth the money, it has a good sweetness with plenty of pumpkin flavor to assist it. It's served with small pumpkin spice crumbles on top, they can be tasty. But usually I prefer to order mine without them, just because they sometimes get into the drink and it's just better without them in the way! I could drink these every day, and it really is possible! Tim Hortons offers their pumpkin spice ice capps all year long. Maybe I should keep that on the DL.

Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino
(in the glass bottles)
Sold at most retail stores

I was really, really excited when i spotted this in Target. But I ended up kind of let down. It wasn't what I was expecting. I thought it was going to be almost smooth and great like all of the other flavor options they have created. But for me it was a bit overwhelming. It seemed to have a lot of spice. It did have a gourmet flavor though.

I ended up giving the rest of what I didn't drink to Seth, and he definitely disagreed with me. He enjoyed it! So maybe it was just me. I'm not sure. Seth said it was what he expected down to a T.

Either way, if you enjoy Starbucks and pumpkin I insist you give it a try for yourself!

Starbucks Actual Frappuccino
Starbucks

The typical "white girl" drink of the season! So fantastic. Sorry about the not-so-fantastic photo, but I mean who hasn't seen a Starbucks cup before? Anyways, if you're craving something pumpkin to wake you up in the morning, look no further.

White Chocolate Pumpkin Spice frozen drink
Scioto Valley

Located only in Circleville, Ohio, this independent run coffee joint definitely makes a great Pumpkin coffee, or any coffee for that matter.

The frozen White Chocolate Pumpkin Spice is a vortex of delicious coffee joined together with a huge Pumpkin taste, and a hint of a soft white chocolate. This drink was awesome!

We love Scioto Valley, and their crimson cups, and you should too! Definitely stop in and grab a cup!

Iced Coffee with added Pumpkin Spice flavoring
Scioto Valley

Scioto Valley made it twice on our list for a great reason. We know that pumpkin spice iced coffee is a tough thing to find! But we have found it for you!

If you strictly prefer Iced Coffee (like Mr. Smith.. cough cough) and still want that seasonal Pumpkin flavor in the fall, Scioto Valley has you covered!

It may not be featured on the menu as "Pumpkin Spice Iced Coffee" but if you request an ice coffee with Pumpkin Spice they will make it happen! And it is delicious! Heavy Pumpkin taste with the coffee flavor you also expect.

Lindt Lindor Pumpkin Spice Chocolate Truffles
Most Groceries

Lindt Lindor Pumpkin Spice Chocolate Truffles are definitely a one of a kind Chocolate. It is definitely a must try. One of the more noticeable things about it is that the pumpkin flavor isn't overdone which was great. You were still able to taste the delicious original Lindor Chocolate.

Perfect ratios equal perfect Truffles!

Krispy Kreme Glazed Pumpkin Spice Cake Doughnuts
Most Groceries

POUR SOME SUGAR ON.. Oh, where was I. These Doughnuts were very sweet! Krispy Kreme will have you singing that old tune every time you take a bite of these sugary creations.

They are very rich and filling. The pumpkin flavor is at a good level, but the sweetness really plays the biggest part in these Doughnuts.

Pumpkin Cheesecake Milkshake
Arby's

Usually you don't expect to see a fast food restaurant on a food blog, but Arby's may have topped themselves here.

This milkshake is definitely worth while. We were blown away when we tasted this masterpiece. The milkshake is surprisingly smooth and the pumpkin flavor blends well with all of the ingredients.

Whatever secret Arby's uses for this delicious frozen drink is right on the money. Perfect for the fall season!

Pillsbury Grands Pumpkin Spice Roll's
Most Groceries

Appearing to be much like a cinnamon rolls, these rolls will take you on an unexpected flavorfull experience. This was first time we ever tried the Pumpkin Rolls. They had a very strong Pumpkin flavor, and an awesome, warm, make you wanna cuddle up and watch a good horror movie kinda taste.

Pumpkin Spice Oreo's
Found in most Stores

The creators of Oreo's have been becoming more and more bold with their flavor options. And we think theyre making some good moves.

They replaced the original Oreo's cream with orange pumpkin spice cream, and replaced the crunchy Chocolate sandwich cookies with a pumpkin flavored cookie. The color of the cookie itself resembles pie crust, making sure your mouth waters.

These are definitely a must try. It's really outside of an Oreo's flavor element which makes it so mysterious at first glance but fun to eat later. And they taste amazing if I may add.

McDonald's Pumpkin Spice Latte

McDonald's actually has good coffee, and what better way to complement a McDonald's Latte than a little bit of pumpkin! They really give you what you ask for in a pumpkin flavored cup of Joe, a simple, smooth and tasty Latte that's a lot different from their other choices. Too bad it only comes once a year!

McDonald's Pumpkin Pies

McDonald's is changing things up! I used to love the typical simplistic pumpkin pies they offered. But now they seem to have added some type of cream along with the pumpkin pie filling which is a bit odd.

We prefer McDonald's Pumpkin pie the way it used to be, without the cream. Although the change wasnt their best move, we didnt think the pies were terrible.

It was a pie, and who doesn't love pie?

Pumpkin Pie Pop Tarts
Most Groceries

Whether you're a fan of Pop Tarts, or a fan of pumpkin pie, or a fan of both, Pumpkin Pop tarts will not disappoint. It will be the quickest piece of pumpkin pie you've ever had made in your toaster.... oh wait you don't make Pumpkin pie in the toaster..... but these Pop tarts are still pretty tasty.

O'Fallon Pumpkin Beer
Groceries

With the taste of normal beer with slight bite of pumpkin, this beer was fantastic. The pumpkin flavor itself plays the part of the smoothness in this beer which gave it an absolute original taste.

Lindsey's Pumpkin Doughnuts
Lindsey's Bakery

If you've never been to Circleville, Ohio, then we are about to give you a great reason to go... Lindsey's Bakery!

Lindsey's is known for their delicious doughnuts and other baked goods. If you ever come to this small round town, you must go in and grab a couple of their delicious Pumpkin Doughnuts.

Roosters, it's an Ohio thing!

We are so proud to be from Ohio for so many reasons, and Roosters being one of them!  Roosters is a restaurant that only 'Ohioans' or Ohio visitors know about. It's not a five star fancy schmansy restaurant, just a tasty and fun place to eat at on a weekend or after a long days work. The famous slogan really speaks for itself "A fun, casual, joint", but it doesn't happen to mention the delicious food they have available!  We are regular Rooster customers, we usually go a couple of times a month. We usually stick with our favorites from the menu, but you really can't go wrong with anything they have to offer. Whether it's the loaded nachos, a burger, or their tender boneless wings dipped in your choice of TOP OF THE LINE wing sauce, you wont be disappointed. Most of the time we go with the boneless wings drenched in tangy sweet Thai chili sauce. The quality of the meat is unbeatable, but the big kicker for us is the sauce. The sweet

Breakfast Time at Table 1

Being Ohio natives we were happy to find an independent restaurant near us. It had Great decor, and the restaurant itself had a visually fun and hip/modern look (no surprise here.. most small businesses take this role). The lighting was at a relaxing level, they placed numbers above the tables to try and give a unique look. Enough about the decor though, lets move on to the important Tids! First things first, drink options. They had a small variety of drinks offering the usual selections - Soda, Water, Tea, O-J, Milk. We decided on getting the Cola, because we had a long drive ahead - we were headed for Amish Country in Millersburg OH. (Blog soon to come..) Our server seemed to be lacking some energy that day as well, I mean it was Saturday. She brought our drinks and we were surprised to see more than a simple cup, Coca-cola served to you in a jar! Enough mumbo about the drinks though, onward to the main course. We both opted for The eggs Benedict. We were unsure o

The Ale House May be Good for Whatever Ails You

All of you Ohio natives out there, if you havent been to Ale house 1890 in Lancaster Ohio you are definitely missing out. They have wonderful hamburgers and so many to menu items to choose from! All of these burgers are specially made with their own selection of fresh ingredients. They definitely know their way around a burger! They also have new specials  pretty frequently such as fried macoroni! (See review for fried Macoroni below!) so go in and don't miss them! Ale House 1890 Our first pick from the menu was the Barnyard Burger.  Barnyard Burger This burger was an absolute taste masterpiece! The first bite I took I could immediately taste the sweetness of marmalade and the grilled taste of the patty which collided with each other creating a  wonderful taste combination. The garlic aoli was a nice touch to the burger as well, better than mayonnaise if you ask me! Also the micro greens was a great bonus to an already delcious sandwich. And what is better on a b
