Nong's Khao Man Gai will blow you away!

Portland, Oregon is known for its many food trucks and food stands. Portland, Oregon is the home of Nong's Kahn Man Gai which we proudly visited on our trip.

Food trucks are no new thing for us, Seth's father was the founder and executive Chef of the Green Meanie food truck that was formerly located in Columbus, Ohio so we are hip to what a food truck should be like.

We decided to go for the popular choice on the menu which was the Chicken and Rice...

CHICKEN AND RICE

Chicken on top of a bed of white rice, with a generous portion of cilantro, and a couple slices of cucumber was what we received after ordering. We also got a side of soup and a side of their tangy ginger sauce to go with the chicken.

The Chicken was tender, fresh and cooked all the way through. the flavor of the chicken was very tasty along with the rice, cilantro and cucumber. Everything tasted great together but what really set everything to perfection was the ginger sauce. It gave the entire dish a whole new flavor rather than just the chicken and rice by itself. The sauce was sweet and tangy and had the taste of ginger that you always find in good Asian food, and when you have a sauce that delcious to go along with beautifully cooked chicken and rice, it's absolutely breath taking. The cilantro also played an important role. We were blown away by this dish.

The soup was also very delcious. It had a strong delcious flavor of cilantro and onions and and was just all around bursting with flavor. It seemed simple at first but when you actually taste it for the first time your whole perspective on soup transforms.

We highly recommend visiting this food stand. The delcious flavors will definitely give your mouth an adventure. We will definitely be back at this food spot when we visit Portland, Oregon again!

Thank you for reading, Tasty!

Roosters, it's an Ohio thing!

We are so proud to be from Ohio for so many reasons, and Roosters being one of them!  Roosters is a restaurant that only 'Ohioans' or Ohio visitors know about. It's not a five star fancy schmansy restaurant, just a tasty and fun place to eat at on a weekend or after a long days work. The famous slogan really speaks for itself "A fun, casual, joint", but it doesn't happen to mention the delicious food they have available!  We are regular Rooster customers, we usually go a couple of times a month. We usually stick with our favorites from the menu, but you really can't go wrong with anything they have to offer. Whether it's the loaded nachos, a burger, or their tender boneless wings dipped in your choice of TOP OF THE LINE wing sauce, you wont be disappointed. Most of the time we go with the boneless wings drenched in tangy sweet Thai chili sauce. The quality of the meat is unbeatable, but the big kicker for us is the sauce. The sweet...

Picklesburgh!

Pittsburgh, PA is not only a fun city to visit, but they have one of most unique traditions of many, the Picklesburgh pickle festival!! We are huge fans of pickles, and we had a blast on previous travels to Pittsburgh, so this event was perfect for us! In this particular post we are going to be telling you about all of our delicious encounters of Picklesburgh. Picklesburgh has everything pickles! Name it and most likely they have it. Anything from pickle brine chicken, pickle soda, to even pickle moonshine, and pickle cupcakes. We were lucky enough to try a good handful of these pickled creations. When we first arrived in Pittsburgh we kept our eyes peeled for the giant pickle floating in the sky! It was surely there floating above all of the delicious pickle stands and happy festival goers. It had a very fun feel being there because of the fact that it is all located on the famous Roberto Clement Bridge. Our first goal when we arrived was getting a one of a kind selfie with t...

Screendoor, What Mo' Could'ya Ask Fo'

On our Oregon vacation and exploration, we headed out to a specific well known location for breakfast. Screendoor Much like many old fashion restaurants, Screendoor in Portland Oregon is extremely popular. The vibe of the restaurant is very positive, and the decor and atmosphere is warm and makes you feel at home. The lighting of the restaurant is very soft on a beautiful autumn Portland morning, and nothing goes better with a crisp cool fall day than delicious breakfast. We browsed the simple menu, and selected our meals quickly. We had a big day ahead of us. Seth opted for their famous chicken and waffle dish, while I on the other hand went with the Texas Veggie Migas. (I can't ever pass up a good Mexican classic) Chicken and Waffles The presentation of the dish was impressive, the orange peal on top of the portions of breakfast goodness was a gorgeous touch. The chicken was absolutely homemade, hand breaded, and cooked to perfection.  The flavor of the ch...
