Pearly's Beach Eats

On our recent vacation to Florida, we found some decent restaurants that we thought would be a great additions to our blog.  We came across Pearly's Beach Eats online and we were immediately intrigued. After swimming with manatees we finally worked up an appetite so we stopped at Pearly's for lunch. Pearly's is a small restaurant with a unique menu that offers Mexican, American and seafood. It was a very fun place to eat, they have outdoor seating in the shade with surfboard tables! It was a great atmosphere to have beach themed food. Fish Sandwich The fish sandwich at Pearly's is out of this world! You have the choice to have your fresh Cobia fish blackened or fried, we went with the fried. The sandwich consists of a fresh piece of cobia, lettuce, tomato, and tarter sauce on a grilled bun. We were blown away by the first bite, the fish tasted unbelievable. The batter had so much flavor and was seasoned beautifully, and the fish was fr

Luckys Cafe

On our second trip to Cleveland, we stopped at a very well known restaurant in the Tremont area that you may have seen on the Food Network T.V. show, 'Diners, Drive-in, and Dives'. It goes by the name of Lucky's Cafe . The interior of the restaurant was unique just as you expect from seeing the exterior of the restaurant. Every bit of food in the restaurant is homemade, and farm fresh. The entire menu looked absolutely appetizing. After browsing we decided we couldn't pass up their famous biscuits and gravy called Biscuits for short. And we also decided on the Shipwreck, because it had so many different toppings we wanted to see how it would pan out. BISCUITS AND GRAVY Lucky's famous biscuits and gravy are out of this world. Crispy and flavorful scallion and cheese biscuits, topped with farm fresh scrambled eggs and covered in Lucky's sausage gravy and finished with a nice sprinkle of scallions. What sounds better than that? Each item o

Sweet Carrot has the cakes!

Columbus, Ohio is home to many delicious restaurants. There are plenty of great food spots in ohio and quite a variety of them. We kept our eyes peeled and landed on a great pick for our next blog... Sweet  Carrot! This place isn't like many restaurants in Ohio, the most popular thing on the menu is the corncake. They have many selections of drinks such as beer and they even have their own soda! But what we came for was the corncakes! The corncakes are so tasty, its definitly a must try at Sweet Carrot. The corncake has kernels of corn throughout the entire cake which makes it sort of fun to eat. Each corncake is served with house made slaw, corn salsa, and homade sauce. They have many different variations of flavors on top of these corn cakes such as meat balls and pork, which is what we opted for!  Corncake with Pulled Pork We are going to start by saying that each corncake is quite delcious. The soft sweet and (because of the corn kernals) crunchy corncake wa

Our breakfast at Pine State Biscuits!

Pine State Biscuits  One of our morning stops before some Oregon site seeing was Pine State Biscuits. This place is really well known in the Portland area. We were definitely excited about this tasty stop from all of the great things we heard about it. We thought we would have a nice breakfast before heading out to see the world famous Mount Saint Helens. Pine State Biscuits was very fast laced breakfast restaurant but had a very great uniqueness to it. The menu had a good variety. We chose the Reggie Deluxe and the Shrimp and Grits! The Reggie Deluxe  This dish was fairly decent. It was some what different from regular breakfast dishes. The Reggie deluxe is a biscuit with fried chicken, cheese, bacon, and covered with sausage gravy. It didn't blow us away like we though but it was definitely tasty. It the flavors of everything were pleasing for a breakfast dish. The biscuit was fresh, the gravy had a nice flavor and the chicken was simply okay. We did appreci
